There are just so many beautiful ways to celebrate Día de los Muertos. And here's one easy way you can celebrate from home.
Join us in this fun and creative virtual event painting a sugar skull. It's fun for all ages, and everyone is welcome!
Wonderfully talented Chicana artist Maira Meza of Arte Hasta La Muerte will be showing your kids how to paint a vibrant sugar skull to celebrate Mexico's Day of the Dead.
Sugar skulls, called calaveras in Spanish, are part of the altars families build for their loved ones who have passed away. They're typically edible or decorative skulls usually made by hand from either sugar or clay.
While we can't show you online how to make an actual sugar skull, we can show you how to paint one!
